ABOUT RJ

RJ Hernández is an award-winning author, artist, and eternal optimist living in Greenwich Village, New York.

After graduating from Yale, RJ interned at Vogue and became a fashion stylist—a job in which he became extremely prolific at hobnobbing with rich people and secretly scribbling notes about them.

The result of these scribbles was his debut novel AN INNOCENT FASHION (Harper Perennial), which was optioned for film and nominated for the Edmund White Award for LGBT Debut Fiction, as well as two International Latino Book Awards.

He has since been featured in publications including Vanity Fair, The Paris Review, People magazine, ELLE, and Out magazine (see more Press).

He is currently seeking representation for his YA debut series, THE FAUST SOCIETY.
